canine Physiotherapy
Personalised physiotherapy for your dog
Every dog is different, so canine physiotherapy is tailored to their individual needs, comfort and rehabilitation goals. Whether your dog is recovering from an injury or surgery, experiencing changes in mobility, or finding everyday activities more difficult, physiotherapy may help support an appropriate rehabilitation plan.
An appointment begins with a discussion about your dog and any concerns you have noticed. This may include changes in walking, difficulties with everyday activities, previous injuries, medical history, current mobility and what you hope to achieve.
Sarah will then carry out a physical assessment to evaluate your dog’s movement and function. She will explain her findings and discuss suitable treatment options with you, taking your dog’s individual circumstances and any relevant veterinary advice into account.

What might treatment involve?
Treatment is selected according to the assessment and what is appropriate for your dog. It may include:
Soft tissue massage
Hands-on techniques aimed at addressing areas of muscle tension and soft-tissue restriction, supporting comfort and movement.
Electrotherapy
Selected electrotherapy techniques (including Class IV Laser Therapy) may be incorporated into treatment when indicated.
Rehabilitation exercises
Tailored activities to support strength, mobility, balance, coordination and gradual progress.
Home exercises & recovery
Practical guidance to help you support your dog between appointments and plans shaped around your dog’s current abilities and rehabilitation goals.
Supporting progress at home
Physiotherapy is not just about the treatment carried out during a session. Sarah will help you understand which exercises or management steps may be useful at home, how to approach them and how to adapt them to your dog’s needs.
Exercises and rehabilitation advice will be tailored to your dog’s abilities and progress. Following injury or surgery, the plan should also take account of relevant veterinary recommendations.
Working with your veterinary team
Canine physiotherapy should complement appropriate veterinary care. Referral, consent or clinical guidance may be needed depending on your dog’s circumstances, particularly following surgery or when managing an injury or ongoing medical condition.
Please share relevant veterinary information, medication details and any rehabilitation instructions before the appointment so the treatment approach can be planned appropriately. If you are unsure what information is needed, contact Sarah before booking to discuss the next step.
