Services
Human Physiotherapy
£50 per session
Physiotherapy sessions take place in the comfort of your own home. An hour’s session includes discussion of your problem, physical assessment and treatment. Treatments may include exercise therapy (provision of rehabilitation exercises), manual therapy, soft tissue therapy (including use of Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Massage: IASTM), electrotherapy and/or acupuncture depending on your needs and decided in consultation with you.
Equine Physiotherapy
£55 per session (10% discount per horse if more than one horse seen at the same location)
Similar to the approach with humans, equine physiotherapy involves a discussion about any issues you may be having with your horse, a physical assessment and treatment. Treatments include soft tissue massage (including IASTM), electrotherapy and provision of rehabilitation exercises.
Canine Physiotherapy
£50 per session
Canine physio involves a discussion about your dogs’ issues, if they are having any, a physical assessment and treatment. Treatments include soft tissue massage, electrotherapy and provision of rehabilitation exercises.
Rider Biomechanics
Price varies depending on arena hire costs, if applicable
Using slow-motion video capture and Estride Harmony G3 saddle pressure mat, assessment is made by observing you and your horse in a school setting, wearing a Visualise training jacket and markers on your horse. I will then advise on rehabilitation and corrective exercises to improve your ridden posture.
Hydrotherapy
Group Session £30
1:1 Session £ POA
Beckfoot School in Bingley is the location of the hydrotherapy pool I can hire. With step access and heated to a therapeutic 33-35°C it is perfect for rehabilitation.
Group sessions are a more cost-effective way to access hydrotherapy; numbers are capped to allow me time with each client and tailor the exercises to their specific needs.
EquiPHIIT
POA: classes not currently running
An innovative exercise class aimed at equestrians: blending pilates and HIIT-style exercises, as well as balance and control and finishing with a stretch.
Talks & Demonstrations
£ POA
I am keen to improve awareness of the benefits of Chartered Physiotherapy. In February 2020 I held a talk on Rider Physiotherapy at Craven College, where I discussed the latest research involving the horse-rider unit as well as the common issues seen in riders and getting everyone to have a go at some of the corrective exercises I prescribe.
