Terms & Policies
Payment
Payment is to be made in full by cash, card or BACS on the day of treatment. Receipts available upon request.
Insurance claims are to be made by the clients themselves as I do not deal directly with insurance companies. Payment must be made in full and clients are responsible for claiming back the costs from their insurers themselves.
Cancellation Policy
Please give 48 hours notice of cancellation where possible, to allow the appointment to be available for booking. Less than 48 hours notice may require full payment; this is subject to circumstances so please discuss individual cases with me.
Service Provision
We reserve the right to refuse services to anyone at any time.
While every effort is made to ensure the safety of the animal and riders/handlers during sessions we accept no liability for any loss or injury occurred during the session. We ask that owners/ handlers provide us with a safe environment to work in and that handlers/riders are competent.
Sometimes photographs and videos are taken during sessions which may be used in social media posts and for marketing purposes. If you do not wish for you and/or your animals image to be used in this way please let me know. I will often be happy for you to take pictures and videos during treatment, but please tag us in the post to allow my followers to see what we have been getting up to!

Prior to, and during, assessment I will collect and hold personal information such as Name, Address and contact details plus details of your animal including your registered veterinary practice (if applicable). I will also hold sensitive data such as medical history and clinical details of you and/or your animal(s). This information will remain confidential and stored securely on Cliniko (my cloud-based electronic records and diary system) which is password protected and only accessible by myself. Your data will not be passed to any third parties or used for marketing purposes without your prior consent.
Legally and to comply with my professional requirements we will hold your data for 7 years. After this time they are securely destroyed, unless you remain a client.
Occasionally there are times when personal information is required to be shared; this will only happen on a need to know basis. For example if I need you to see another medical professional, or I need to liaise with your vet regarding your animal(s). This will be following discussion with yourself.
Physiotherapy for animals is bound by the Veterinary Surgeons Act (1966)/exemptions order (2015) so it is mandated that veterinary consent is gained prior to a physiotherapist assessing and treating any animal. If the vet requests it we will be required to share our assessment findings in order to optimise care and communication.
If you are unhappy with any part of the service you receive from me, wish for your data to be amended/removed or to request a copy of the data I hold please inform me via physio@sarahrennisonphysio.co.uk
From time to time Sarah Rennison Physiotherapy would like to contact you to keep you updated on my services, offers, events and other information that may be of interest to you. This may be via email but usually via social media. By consenting to this you will only receive information directly from my services and your personal information will never be passed on to any third parties.
