About Me

Sarah Rennison Physiotherapy with her dog

I qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist in 2010 from the University of Bradford, before working as a rotational physiotherapist for 5 years, gaining experience across the core areas of physiotherapy.

In 2015 I specialised in musculoskeletal (MSK) physiotherapy and currently work at a senior level in the NHS: working in both MSK Outpatients and as a First Contact Physiotherapist providing expert triage to local GP surgeries.

I have also worked in rugby union since 2011 and currently work with the Yorkshire Rugby Academy and Yorkshire RFU.  I am qualified to RFU PHICIS Level 3.

As a keen horse rider I undertook training via the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute (APPI) to teach specialist pilates for horse rider classes.  I have since gone on to train with Andy Thomas and use his TesttTM approach.

Working with riders led me to want to be able to work with the horses as well as the riders.

In 2020 I graduated with an MSc in Veterinary Physiotherapy from the University of Liverpool.

I hold membership with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP), Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Animal Therapy (ACPAT), and Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP).

I offer physiotherapy across Yorkshire and the North West: catering for Human, Horse and Hound!

Away from work I live in Skipton, North Yorkshire with my partner Jim.  We have recently been fortunate enough to have had a couple of rescue bulldogs whose images appear in some of my posts!  Our current resident is a British Bulldog called Butch who has a long list of health problems, but we do our best to keep him as healthy as we can. I volunteer with Aireworth Dogs In Need helping their fundraising efforts as Butch remains under their care as a long-term foster dog.
